Program format

The school will start on 20 December 2018, Thursday. It will be divided into two halves with a hiking day in the middle! Each half will cover following topics.

i. Fundamentals with Mathematics, Programming & Machine Learning prerequisites

ii. Advanced topics with state-of-the-art applications

Panellist I

Elina Pradhan, PhD

Dr. Elina Pradhan is an Economist with the World Bank Group’s Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice. A chemical engineer by undergraduate training, her graduate work in public health and previous consultancies focus on impact evaluation and decision science, as applied to demography, reproductive, maternal and child health in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, including Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Ethiopia.

Nama Budathoki, PhD

Dr. Nama Budathoki is an executive director at Kathmandu Living Labs. Dr. Budathoki has played a critical role in developing OpenStreetMap community and creating an ecosystem around open data in Nepal.

Sujaya Neupane, PhD

Dr. Sujaya Neupane is a postdoctoral researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. He obtained his PhD in neuroscience from McGill University, Canada and did his Undergraduate and Masters degrees in electrical and biomedical engineering.
